This section features works inspired by popular culture such as animation, comic books and video games. I grew up watching classic anime (Japanese animation for the uninitiated) as well as reading Marvel comics and Jademan martial arts comics from China. As time went on, Jademan became my favorite comics overall even over Marvel (I was never a DC fan) with more interesting characters and stories, 64 page books printed in full color with no ads, released monthly. Those were inspiring times. Various techniques and applications were used to create the work with the current focus being on vector art creation. This type of art is something I learned many years ago but the tools were no where near as mature as they are now. This makes original vector art creation much more viable as a standard, capable of higher levels of detail with faster turnaround without resorting to tracing photographs. The works presented here were created using various Surface devices and various Android devices as well as Rebelle, Flame Painter, ArtRage, Affinity Designer, Affinity Publisher, InkScape, Sketchbook Pro 7, Sketchbook Pro Mobile and Clip Studio Ex on the Surface side. On the Android side, Sketchbook Pro, Photoshop Touch and ArtFlow were used.
